Our client in Seattle is looking for a SDE to work on their backend team.

Responsibilities and requirements:
• Passion for applying OO principles, design patterns, refactorings and common sense to build a quality, robust and maintainable codebase.
• Experienced practitioner of agile methods – including test automation, iterative delivery and continuous integration.
• Self-motivated problem solver with the ability to work collaboratively and constructively in a small, focused team.
• Loves music, familiar with the digital media / music landscape, and a potential user of the product.
• Familiar with modern web frameworks, architectures, and cloud infrastructure – including RoR, memcached, nginx, dtrace, PostgreSQL, Linux and AWS.
• Adept in one or more dynamic and static programming languages – Ruby, Python, Objective-C, C++, Java, etc.
• Expertise in metrics-driven performance analysis, debugging and addressing scaling bottlenecks and operations monitoring/automation.
• BS level software engineering background.
• 5 years development experience.

Preferred expertise:
• MS level software engineering background.
• 10 years development experience.
