Play a key role in the high growth areas of Enterprise Collaboration and Social Networking software in a team of software development engineers developing Portal backend, VDL (Virtual Data Layer), and Infrastructure development. Requires use of a strong background in SW design, documentation and implementation, on projects that may include any of the following list of responsibilities: Work with a team on SW development, Product Mgmt and cross functional teams. Participation in architecture, design, develop and test features using Agile development methodology with high quality. Demonstrate a high degree of originality and innovation in defining product and project level design. Participate in design of interfaces between products to ensure interoperability. Resolve design issues. Define new software product features. Develop large portions of software independently and rapidly. Champion new, improved design methodologies. Define Reliability, Availability, and Scalability goals for products. Expertise in Java and Oracle Database required. Social Software development experience preferred.

Strong development background in Database (especially Oracle), JAVA, J2EE, Struts, Sprint, JDO, Hibernate, Servlets, JSPs, Velocity, Web Services, REST, SOAP, RPC Hybrid, XMPP, JSON, XML, Search technology, Lucene, Solr, MS FAST, Social Graph, Semantic Web, RDF, Data Analytics, Linux/Unix, High availability, JDBC/ODBC, Multithreading development experience, Linux/Unix database schema design, framework and application server development, Distributed components, JSP, Tomcat, HTTP, Directory/LDAP, SVN usage, excellent troubleshooting skills & experience in developing complex software applications. Resolve complex problems at the system level. Contribute innovative ideas for multiple module architecture and lead development of subsystems.

Education & Experience:

MSEE/CS combined with 5-7 years of related experience, or BSEE/CS combined with 7-10+ yrs related experience. Strong Database (especially Oracle) and Java required, and Social Software experience highly preferred.
