Our client in Bothell has an immediate opening for a Quality Control Inspector.

In this role, you will be responsible for the inspection of incoming purchased parts using standard mechanical measuring equipment and established documentation to assure that only acceptable parts are being sent to inventory.

MAJOR DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:

1.Read and interpret inspection plans and complex blueprints in order to identify discrepancies on parts inspected.
2.Inspect incoming purchased parts, materials, and electrical components when required.
3.Maintain logs and inspection data on quality control files.
4.Write rejection records of discrepancies of non-conforming material for MRB (engineering evaluation).
5.Perform first article inspections on complex parts.
6.Interface with personnel in Production, Material, and Engineering to communicate discrepancies.
7.Resolve paperwork discrepancies and answer routine quality-related questions.
8.Maintain Quality files as appropriate.
9.Perform other related duties as required.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

High School Diploma or equivalent 1 year of related QA inspection experience.

Proficient with mechanical measuring equipments, including but not limited to; Speck finder Digital microscopes DynaScope linear magnifier--range 7X-40X Keyence VH-5910- Microscope with Altec Lansing (HP) laptop Electronic/Dial calipers Go-No-Go gages Rulers/scales--inch and metric scale Multimeters CMM (Mitutoyo Quick Vision Pro) very limited Pin Gages--occasional use Micrometers--occasional use Calipers

DESIRED / PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Experience equivalent to certification of accomplishment, or a working knowledge in electro-mechanical drafting.
Basic understanding of inspection techniques, routine paperwork procedures, and familiarity with drawings) to interpret data.
Proficient in shop math. Good mechanical aptitude.
Good computer aptitude (MS Windows)

WORKING CONDITIONS:

Requires lifting up to 40 pounds. Some overtime may be required
