Manufacturing Program Manager

A global leader of consumer products is ramping up one of their teams and is looking for a Technical Program Manager to join their team. Successful candidates will have a degree in engineering, preferably electrical engineering and work experience in similar area in a consumer device manufacturing environment.

The Manufacturing Program Manager will drive the development, qualification, deployment, and continuous improvement activities for manufacturing test system for high volume consumer products. This position will drive defining and specifying our test engineering programs, create high quality specifications, and deliver those programs with our development and test teams. You will work with internal and external partners to develop technology in custom test equipment software and our test control system SQL database.

Must have a proven background as a self motivated individual that drives problems and projects to resolution and completion in a detailed quality manner.

This project requires a very strong background in Development program management. Candidates will have excellent technical and analytical skills, will have very strong written and verbal communication skills, will have produced excellent functional specifications before, and you will have a proven track record of delivering complex hardware and software projects.

Technical strengths must include knowledge of hardware/software development, qualification and test, and be able to identify and put in place all resources required to execute a successful test program.

Knowledge of high volume consumer products manufacturing, large production databases, product lifecycles, and new product process is strongly desired. Program Management strengths must include the ability to direct the work of cross-company teams of our development partners to meet overall program objectives. Qualifications include:
5+ years of related program management experience focusing on hardware/software development, cross functional business processes, and product life cycle management. Working experience in manufacturing and supply chain area is a plus.
Experience with a TeamCenter or PLM would be helpful as they are using a database to track the project.


Experience required with MS Project Schedule, a bug tracking system such as Product Studio, and all MS Office applications including PowerPoint, Excel, Word, and Outlook.

Experience desired with SQL, statistical analysis programs such as JMP, or C++ code based software.

Strong written/oral communication skills, problem resolution, good judgment, presentation, and decision-making skills required. Must be self motivated and results driven.

PMP certification is a plus. Domestic and international travel might be required.

Education:
B.A./B.S in Engineering, Computer Science, Project Management, or related fields (or the equivalent in work experience). MBA preferred. Position is located in Redmond, Washington.

Candidates with a 4 year technical degree and strengths in electrical engineering, understanding of mechanical issues, familiarity with programming test devices and the full manufacturing test cycle will be considered first.
